Due to poor waste management, the region is vulnerable to disease outbreaks and flooding during rainy seasons. If adequate waste management is not implemented, we will produce more waste than we can manage, which will have an impact on our health and the environment. Their lack of discipline is one of the reasons why residents of Surigao City continue to pollute and why they have failed to find a solution to the problem of poor waste management. Because of this social discipline, individuals start throwing their trash wherever instead of in the right trash can that is designed for that particular waste.
